Every meaningful journey begins with a simple idea. Here's the story of how a lifelong passion for art and a love for teaching came together to create Canvas Redefined.
For seven years, I built my career in the technology industry, working in roles across Data Analytics, Data Engineering, and Artificial Intelligence with companies including IBM and Capgemini. While I enjoyed solving complex problems and working with emerging technologies, art had always remained a constant part of my life. Since childhood, I continued learning through books, workshops, classes, and countless hours of practice, nurturing a passion that never faded.
In 2020, I started teaching painting to children in my local community. What began as a small weekend initiative soon became the most fulfilling part of my week. Watching children discover their creativity, overcome self-doubt, and proudly complete their own artwork showed me the profound impact that art education could have on their confidence and personal growth.
Those weekends made me realise that my true passion wasn't just creating art — it was helping others discover that they could create it too.
That realisation inspired me to leave the corporate world and dedicate myself to teaching art full-time. When my passion for art came together with my background in technology, it opened the door to something I had never imagined — bringing quality art education beyond geographical boundaries. Canvas Redefined was born with a simple mission: to help students around the world build strong artistic foundations and the confidence to create independently.
Today, I feel incredibly grateful to every parent who has placed their trust in Canvas Redefined and allowed me to be a part of their child's creative journey. It is a privilege to watch young artists learn, grow, and discover the joy of painting, one brushstroke at a time.
